Rambler/AMC
AMC was formed in 1954 by the merger of Nash and Hudson. For
1958 the Nash and Hudson brands were dropped and replaced by
Rambler. This lasted until 1965, when the cars were rebadged to
AMC.
Due to a drop in sales in the 70s AMC seeked a partner found
Renault. The partnership held until 1987. Chrysler purchased AMC
and the name AMC disappeared.
